The Ecomuseum is made up of a series of antennas and museum points that wind up in the territory of the municipalities of: Allerona, Castel Viscardo, Fabro, Ficulle, Montegabbione, Monteleone d'Orvieto, Parrano and San Venanzo.
The realization of the various antennas has enabled the creation of a path that enhances the peculiarities of each territory; the presence of numerous research and laboratory sites makes the offer suitable for both kids and adults.
The Antenna of the City of Allerona, Museum of Geological Cycles, offers a territory reconstruction with a section devoted to paleontology, houses ancient fossils dating back to Pliocene and the skeleton of a cetacean.
Another antenna present at Allerona is the Permanent Exibit of Pugnals: Allegoric wagons reproducing life scenes and peasant jobs, produced for celebrations in honor of Sant'Isidoro.
The permanent exhibition collects all the documentation relating to the party, objects coming from the oldest Pugnals among those made with the crony technique, photos of the wagons and the historical procession, as well as agricultural tools and everyday utensils typical of peasant civilization.
The antennas of Castel Viscardo, the Terrecotte Documentation Center, are dedicated to the secular craftsmanship of bricks, pignats and other kitchen materials, reconstructing through the documentation the most important steps in the uninterrupted history of this manufacturing activity whose origins date back The first half of the sixteenth century.
Multimedia material (including the 3D reconstruction of Castel Viscardo's history from the end of the 13th to the 1928s) and a diorama of some brick manufacturing environments enrich the museum's path.
Another antenna is located in San Venanzo, Volcanology Park and Museum, articulated in different themes with explanatory, even interactive designs. The visit can be integrated with the excursion to the Vulcanological Park, natural extension, outdoors, the Museum and the Antiquarium, which retains a selection of Etruscan-Roman finds found on the site of Poggio delle Civitelle.
Another avenue of particular importance is the Territorial Documentation Center and Parrano Devil's Dams. The museum consists of three sections: one devoted to natural cavities, such as the "Devil's Tears", one to the Etruscan "Soriano" tomb and the last to the castle's history.
At Monteleone d'Orvieto we find the Attilio Parelli Music Documentation Center, a museum structure that preserves the works and scores of the composer and orchestra conductor to which the museum is headquartered and the Teatro dei Rustici, the home of the first carnival performances of the place. Recently restored, with its 96 seats it is among the smallest theaters in Italy.
In Montegabbione there is the Museum of War which deals with different themes through the study, research, recovery, enhancement and dissemination of local history, with particular attention to the passage of the face after the Armistice of September 8, 1943.
